The Carnival Wing of the Perilously Fun Fiction Fortress

Colorful map with highlighted attractions

While wandering through the Perilously Fun Fiction Fortress this week, I realized something.

There is one wing I have not shown you yet.

If you have been following the tour, you might have noticed it earlier. It is the hallway with the velvet curtains. The one where the lights flicker just a little.

And every now and then, faint carnival music drifts through the walls.

Yes. That hallway.

For now, the door to the Carnival Wing is still closed. But I am starting to suspect it will not stay that way much longer.

The Wing I Have Been Avoiding

Every fortress has a section that feels different from the rest.

In this one, it is the Carnival Wing.

The air smells faintly of powdered sugar and night air. The lights glow a little too brightly. And the music never quite stops.

I have been walking past that hallway for weeks now, mostly because I know what waits behind those doors.

The Big Uneasy Stories

Behind those carnival curtains live the stories from my Big Uneasy series.

These books combine mystery, humor, danger, and a little bit of chaos. They explore strange happenings, long buried secrets, and mysteries that refuse to stay quiet.

And of course, they are set in New Orleans.

Because if any city deserves its own carnival wing inside the Perilously Fun Fiction Fortress, it is that one.

New Orleans is a place where music drifts through the streets, celebrations appear without warning, and mysteries feel perfectly at home.

Something New Is Being Built

Recently I noticed something unusual in the Carnival Wing.

One of the doors has started glowing.

Which is rarely a good sign.

There is a new ride being built behind that door. A new mystery preparing to step into the light.

I am not opening it just yet. But the music is getting louder, and I am fairly certain I hear a storm brewing behind the curtains.

It will probably only be a tropical storm.

Probably.

The Fortress Tour Continues

So far on our tour through the Perilously Fun Fiction Fortress, you have explored several wings.

The Hangar
The Time Rift Sector
The Funhouse
The Cyborg Containment Unit
The Secret Passage

But soon we will step into the Carnival Wing.

And once that happens, things may become a little stranger around here.

Closing the Curtain, For Now

Thank you for continuing this tour of my slightly chaotic imagination.

Just remember one thing.

If you hear carnival music drifting down a hallway, it may be best not to follow it.

At least not yet.

PS
If the lights flicker while you are reading this, that is probably unrelated.

Probably.
