Want to know what authors are on board this year??

I can’t believe that this will be our FOURTH year doing our Pets in Space® anthology. That’s right, the adventure, the romance, and the pets will be back in Pets in Space® 4!

The Pets in Space® 4 anthology will release on October 8th, 2019 and once again, 10% of pre-orders and the 1st month’s royalties go to Hero-Dogs.org who raise, train & place support dogs with U.S. veterans.

I am thrilled that our team this year will be S.E. Smith, Anna Hackett, Tiffany Roberts, Veronica Scott, Pauline Baird Jones, Laurie A. Green, Donna McDonald, Regine Abel, Alexis Glynn Latner, JC Hay, E. D. Walker, Kyndra Hatch, and Cassandra Chandler. I can’t wait to read all the stories (not mention write mine!)!

From the germ of the idea—we can’t just do an anthology, can we? Why yes, we can, but…

—How can we make this matter beyond an anthology? By raising money for a good cause…

—to the first launch which garnered a Best eOriginal of 2016 from Library Journal

—on to the second launch and another Best Book of 2017 by Library Journal and USA Today Bestseller

and a third launch which became another USA Today Bestseller…

—I might be a little amazed at what grew out of that germ of an idea. Or a lot amazed.

But even more than the wonderful reception from readers and reviewers is that together we have raised almost $7,000 for Hero-Dogs.org, the charity we picked to support that first time, and have continued to support. We, our authors who provide their wonderful stories, and our amazing readers, have a strong connection and commitment to our veterans.

We are thrilled to have done a small part in helping to provide support animals to those veterans who need them.

My father, who passed away shortly before the release of the first Pets in Space® anthology, served honorably in WWII and in the Korean War. He came home, but he never forgot the men who didn’t. And as his friends, his comrades-in-arms passed away in the years after, those who were left—and those of the new generation of heroes—showed up to honor them.

If you look at the men holding the flags at my father’s graveside service—those are the Greatest Generation and my dad’s friends. I am so grateful to my dad, to all those who served then, who serve now, both in the military and as first responders. And I am also grateful to their families who sacrifice much so that their loved ones can defend our freedom both here and abroad.

Veronica and I, and our authors, also have a deep love for the science fiction romance genre and it is our hope that the anthology will introduce the genre to new readers, too. So we’re also asking that, if you loved the previous anthologies, tell someone! (Did you or they miss the previous anthologies? You can find past Pets in Space® stories on our Pets in Space®  website!)

When can you preorder Pets in Space® 4, you ask? We can’t put Pets in Space® 4 up for preorder until August, but there is something you can do right now so that you don’t miss out! Subscribe to our newsletter at http://www.petsinspaceantho.com/stay-in-touch/ or join our Readers Facebook Group.

Thank you to everyone for past support! And I hope you’re as excited as I am to take the adventure again!

Perilously yours,

Pauline
