Steamrolling and Some Rangers #summerofsfr

Featuring JC Hay today!

promo image

It’s the middle of July and the fourth week of the Summer of SFR!

Today I’m taking a look at Steamrolled, the fourth book in my Project Enterprise series. This one has bits and pieces of steampunk in it, but not like anyone else’s steampunk. It’s as if steampunk crashed into my scifi romance and got, well, steamrolled. I got a fan letter (I hope it was a fan letter, anyway, yeah, I’m going with fan letter haha) who wrote that he’d been reading scifi for 40 years and had never read anything like my time travel.

So I’m going to take that as a compliment on my made-up science fiction. If you’d like to read the story behind the story, it’s here. And for more information about Steamrolled you can find it here.

And I’m also featuring JC Hay today, who I met through Pets in Space. I really enjoyed this book and I’m currently reading the next book (and looking forward to reading his upcoming Pets in Space story).

Here’s the cover and blurb for Inoye and where you can find it!

OLD WOUNDS CAN LEAVE THE DEEPEST SCARS.

Lance Corporal Ren Inouye has spent a decade forgetting his homeworld and the girl who cut out his school-age heart. With the help of his umbra wolf partner, he’s almost succeeded. When he’s ordered back home, the last thing he wants is for her to drop back into his life and tear open those scars he thought long-healed.

Lucia has spent five years doing refugee work, trying to make up for her family’s name and her own spoiled childhood. When her aid shuttle gets shot down, she’s forced to rely on the one person she thought she’d never see again.

Thrown together, it’s impossible to ignore that their old passions still run hot. If they want a future, they’ll need to put the past on hold and work together, because someone’s trying to heat up a cold war on their homeworld, and the fastest way to do that is to make sure they’re both dead.

AVAILABLE NOW AT YOUR FAVORITE E-TAILER!

I hope you’re enjoying the Summer of SFR! I shared mine, and I hope you’ll share yours!

Perilously yours,

Pauline
