Rubber Ducking

I might have mentioned one or a thousand times that August hates me. I feel a bit like these rubber ducks except August never misses her (his?) throw. And instead of plastic rings, August throws rocks and boulders and Big Life Events.

Actually, a ducking booth would probably be a better analogy. Lol

Even though I have already conceded defeat, August just keeps going.

So far the score is August: 13; Pauline: 0

I am currently clinging to one of the boulders and during the short breaks, I’m working on my next Big Uneasy story (did you notice the series got a new look?). Be assured that as I am hosed by August, so will my characters be hosed by me. Paying it forward to fictional people helps me stay mellow.

How do you stay mellow during the Dog Days of August?

Perilously yours,
