One of my favorite pairings to write is the “reunited lovers” trope. Probably because my own romance ended up being a “reunited lovers” story. My college boyfriend and I were together for 6 years, we broke up when I moved away, reunited after four years apart, got married, and now we have a beautiful—and energetic! So energetic!—toddler together. So it’s really no surprise that I love a good reunited lovers story.
Do you like the reunited lovers trope? Do you have any favorite stories featuring reunited lovers?

He cleared his throat. “I, um, I need a favor.”
Aliette stared at him a long moment, blinking. Her sleepy brain probably wasn’t functioning at full speed yet. Her nostrils flared as she raked her gaze up and down his face. “Are you kidding me?”
