So, What Ya Reading This Week?

my mini bookshelf

Because the hubs and I are living in two places, this is my only physical bookshelf here at the bunny house.

bunnies in front of our house

This is why I call it the bunny house. Almost every morning they are out in the yard when I go out.

I didn’t have a guest for this week, so while I was wondering what in the book-world I could blog about, I noticed my tiny shelf and thought I’d ask you all what’s on your to-be-read shelf this week? Or what are you actually reading? Not just thinking about reading. lol

Of course, technically, my shelf isn’t completely a to-be-read shelf, because I finished Inherit the Stars (great science fiction romance) and the Mary Stewart book (loved it but it was too short) and I’ve also “read” my books while writing them.

Thankfully there’s also my “out of sight, but not out of mind” digital library. I managed to read a few of those while I was traveling recently. Veronica Scott released two books recently. I finished OutBreak (loved it!) and I’m currently reading Lady of the Star Wind (loving it and Veronica blogged about writing it just last week!).

Here’s a look at what is lurking in plain sight in my Kindle app.

Reading riches!

Reading riches!

In the read-this-month column, my nephew loaned me his print copy of The Martian. In a good news/bad news deal, I blew through it in a day. (Don’t ask.) Enjoyed reading the science that didn’t make it into the movie.

In this Yahoo group I’m in, the moderator challenged us to dive deep in the TBR, looking for forgotten books (which happens a lot with digital libraries). I haven’t read it yet (still?), but was watching the Odd Thomas movie with my sister and her hubs and that reminded me that I bought the first three books, well, a while ago. A long while ago. So I dived deep and found them. They are sitting on my Kindle. (Yes, I read in the app and on the Kindle. Don’t judge.)

So, anything fun on your TBR this week? Have you delved the depths of your digital TBR recently? Or dug through that pile of print books? Please share your finds and maybe share why and how that book made it into your TBR?

I love comments so much that I pick a favorite to receive my monthly AnaBanana gift basket ($25 value).  (And don’t forget that once a quarter I’ll be tossing in something fun from the Perilously Fun Shop!) Recipient is announced the first blog post of the new month.

Perilously yours,

Pauline
