Moon Madness

What do you know about the moon?

Oct 17 Moon Madness Pauline Baird Jones Facebook

When I was a little girl, the moon was a mystical, magical place. It was something we’d gaze at and dream dreams to going there and beyond.

Yeah, I’m that old.

I can remember watching the first moon landing. And possibly still secretly hoping for some moon people to pop up and say, “howdy.”

When I look back I have to smile a little at that innocent girl. So I thought it might be fun to share some wacky notions about the moon that people used to have (or possibly still have):

1. The moon is made of cheese. (Okay, no one really believed it, but there were a LOT of cartoons featuring a cheesy moon.)

2. We never really went to the moon.

3. Moon inhabitants live on the dark side of the moon. That’s why we can’t see them. (Because they would choose to live on the dark side.)

4. The moon is hollow and/or a spacecraft.

5. The moon controls fertility.

6. Full moons make you crazy. (If that is true, then you should approach this blog tour with care. Unless you WANT to be crazy, in which case you should just dive in and feel the crazy full moon love.)

Does the moon fascinate you? Do you like to see the different full moons?

Perilously yours,
