What if you found out you were a clone?

I’m excited to welcome KG Stutts to the blog today! She’s brimming with news and it’s her birthday! Happy birthday!!!!!! Take it away!

When I wrote my first sci-fi romance trilogy, the Mirror series, it was because of a dream I kept having about a woman who finds out she’s a clone. After the trilogy wrapped up, I started brainstorming about what that world would look like. The characters in that series left behind an indelible mark, a legacy that would be felt for years to come. But just for how long? I began to wonder and started to draw up a timeline of events. More ideas came to me the longer I wrote. Before I knew it, I spent an entire Saturday evening in Scrivener. I had enough material for at least ten books! Something jumped off the screen at me though. A special project one of the main characters in the first series was working on. What if she didn’t have the technology to see it through in her lifetime? Or in her children’s lifetime?

An image formed in my head of a strong, purple-eyed woman. Ember Wilson. Sci-fi needs more tough, hard-hitting women, in my opinion. I wanted her to be someone little girls, like my three nieces, could look up to. And purple is my favorite color. I started flushing her out. Why are her eyes purple? Are there others like her? That’s how I got the Amethyst team. I have three books out featuring the Amethyst chronicles with at least two more planned. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.

A special message from KG: KG Stutts will be celebrating her 36th birthday today and to celebrate, she’s putting all eight of her sci-fi romance books on sale for $.99 on Amazon and Barnes and Noble! Find your new sci-fi addiction with the Mirror trilogy or Amethyst Chronicles.
