Craving a good read? Here's your chance! Download the full short story, "Family Treed." Trust me, it's a hilarious yet nail-biting night out that will leave you craving more!
So I’m back from my reunion, back from Wyoming. Hoping to have some post reunion thoughts when I’ve rested, but right now, just dealing with being back in the HEAT and the HUMIDITY. O.O I forget how hot it can get when I’m away.
I love Texas and I love living here, but I feel…less love in July and August. LOL I’m a writer and I struggle to describe the heat, the humidity to people who haven’t experienced it. There is the thickness of the air as you try to suck it into your lungs, that feeling of not quite drowning. It’s great for the skin, though (if you don’t lay out in the sun w/o sunscreen!). I swear I’ve grown gills. LOL
So what happens is that my hermit inclinations are boosted by the heat. I go out even less in the summer than I do normally. Because it is hot. And humid. Did I mention it is hot here? (grin)
Okay, I’ll stop and turn my attention to something fun. I have a gift card and some audio book coupons to award! I don’t know if drums will roll when it is both hot and humid. I do know it takes energy that I don’t have, so will just get to it.
The winner of the audio books are:
Girl Gone Nova – Shadow! (Thank you so much for joining the blog hop!)
The Last Enemy – Lynn Kelley! (Thank you so much for stopping by the blog!)
And the winner of the AnaBanana gift card is: Sandra Stixrude (Thank you for supporting the blog and the hop!)
So, is it hot where you are? How do you feel about hot? What is your ideal temperature? All comments are entered into my monthly drawing for $10 AnaBanana gift card. Winner is announced in the first blog post of the new month.
Perilously yours,
Pauline, the heated and the humidified
Pauline, besides being hot, is an author. Now that she’s home she’ll be writing again. But she’s also published 13 novels of suspense, adventure and romance. You can find out about her books at paulinebjones.com.
