Craving a good read? Here's your chance! Download the full short story, "Family Treed." Trust me, it's a hilarious yet nail-biting night out that will leave you craving more!
The hermit (me) has been out of the hermit house a crazy amount of time, so I’m still flailing a bit on this blog. So I thought I’d flail less and mention some new things around here that you may not have noticed yet.
If you’ve ever stopped by what was my main website, you might notice it is gone. I moved most of my content over here to the blog. My gal tied to the railroad tracks is gone at the moment, because I’m still figuring out how to do my whole website here. But I am hoping to bring her back. Popular demand for her return might speed that up.
Though to be honest, I’m still working out how to manage the menu so that it works for computers and cell phones. But…
If you browse around a bit, you’ll noticed I’ve added a menu for readers and one for writers (but feel free to visit both! This is a no limits blog. Well, sort of. I mean, I’m still a hermit.)
So if you click on the tab for readers, you’ll find some older content and some new stuff (like the Perilously Fun Shop). There are some guest blog posts that you might not have read before and Just For Fun has some book trivia and playlists.
On For writers you will find articles I’ve written over the years. I don’t write tons of non-fiction, but every now and again, I dip my pen, well, tap my fingers and produce some. If you’re interested in writing mayhem fiction, then you might find my Made Up Mayhem series informative.
I used to have a series I called “Behind the book,” in which I interviewed myself about what it was like to to write my books. I did one for all my books (I’m pretty sure I did anyway), but now you’ll find them at the bottom of the individual book pages (if you scroll ALLLLL the way down).
I’ve also been working to organize my book pages better. Hopefully now you can find how the books are connected and find out way more than you wanted to know on each individual book. Though, of course, I alway hope you’ll want to know EVERYTHING.
But it’s not required.
There is some of the original content I haven’t migrated here yet. For years I wrote a column for my home town paper that I called Letters Home. I “published” some of those old columns on my website, but I’m not sure anyone saw them, so I haven’t taken the time to add them yet. If you’re desperate to read them, let me know. (I won’t hold my breath. Grin)
I also don’t have a what’s new page set up. Mostly because what’s new isn’t that new. I’ve been traveling for three weeks and I need to get the fingers back into the story I’m working on. Oh wait, that’s kind of new, so new in fact, that it doesn’t have a title yet. But it is a short story for an anthology set to be released in the fall called Pets in Space. I’m super excited about the anthology and really having fun with my needs-a-title story.
As soon as I get it in the can, then I’ll turn my attention to writing the next novel. I would like to say that you need to sign up for my newsletter to get the latest news, but I’ve been so gone this month, I haven’t got one out yet.
So…(I avoid eye contact with all of you subscribers), I will do better in May. April has been a bit crazy. I imagine I will get a couple of blog posts out of it. One for sure. But possibly more. I just need my brain and my body to synch again and words will flow.
I hope.
How has April treated all of you? Good I hope? I love comments so much that I pick a favorite to receive my monthly AnaBanana gift basket ($25 value). Recipient is announced the first blog post of the new month.
Perilously yours,
Pauline
