When ever anyone asks if I would sign up to go to Mars, the answer is always a resounding NO.
I have many reasons why I don’t want to go to Mars:
See all those reasons for NOT going to Mars? That’s almost ten reasons for not going to Mars.
But (you know there’d be one, right?)…
You can book your trip RIGHT NOW for a fictional trip to another galaxy AND you get to keep your access to your favorite foods and beverages (unless there is a Zombie Apocalypse, in which case all bets are off).
Garradian Galaxy Getaways is eager to help you make ALL your travel arrangements (which basically involve you clicking the “buy” button at the book vendor of your choice) and your adventure doesn’t launch until Oct 10, but if you book now, your “ticket” to romance, adventure, and heroic pets also helps Hero Dogs.
Hero Dogs raises and trains service dogs and places them free of charge with US Veterans to improve quality of life and restore independence. Which is very cool.
Your “ticket” entitles you to check in on Master Sgt. Briggs (dude still won’t tell me what his first name is). Last I checked he was recuperating from some battle injuries and an alien infection. You’ll want to step back when things go South (or the alien equivalent of South), but otherwise, just enjoy the ride.
And when you’re ready to go home, just tape your heels together three times and repeat—okay, just turn off your tablet or close that HUGE print book.
But don’t forget to keep diving back in until you’ve read all twelve wonderful stories. Re-reading is allowed, too.
