Olivia Joins Steampink Week!

I

Steampink Week has been a blast! Lots of cool prizes, including books and jewelry and an intro do some fun steampunk music! And now Olivia, my character from Tangled in Time, has joined the steam train! Not only did I write an original scene for the trip, but there is an advanced e-copy on the line as a prize. Since this book doesn’t release until December, that means one winner will get to read it six months before the release date!

So stop by Steampink and follow the directions to be entered to win!

I’ll also be having a cyberlaunch party for Out of Time and Ghostly Dreamspell, my latest anthology release. I’ve had so much going on, that one almost slipped by me. My short story, Do Wah Diddy Dead, is the last Luci and Mickey story (from Do Wah Diddy Die. You can find another short in Dead and Breakfast anthology). Here’s the blurb for the short story:

If Miss Weena can put off dying to solve Miss Gracie’s murder, then Luci can’t play the pregnancy card to get out of playing side-kick. It’s not like it will be dangerous. Miss Gracie has been dead for decades…

And of course Out of Time is the digital-only release of my Eppie winning, World War II time travel novel. It’s the first of my back list to start releasing with L&L Dreamspell and with new cover art! Here’s the blurb:

What happens when a twenty-first century woman on a mission to change the past meets a thoroughly 1940s man trying to stay alive in the hellish skies over war-torn Europe?
Melanie “Mel” Morton is an adventure reporter, who lost her grandfather in World War II. With no family left, she’s all about doing her job and finishing her grandfather’s biography.
Enter Jack Hamilton, sexy octogenarian, genius/scientist and former WWII bomber pilot.
What he tells Mel sends her on her craziest adventure yet—straight into the past to save her grandfather’s life—and change Jack’s future, if she doesn’t accidentally end it.
All Mel has to do is outmaneuver the entire German army–and not fall in love with Jack.
Unfortunately, eluding the German army is the easy part….

After nothing going on for too long in my writing, now it feels like a lot going on. Despite it all, I’ve been working today and fighting off the temptation to go see The A-Team movie. I used to love the gang. I think it was the first tv show I ever recorded. VCR’s were high priced and rare back then (at least for our budget). I guess I’ve always had a weakness for 1) action adventure; 2) wise cracking heroes and heroines.

And just in case the movie wasn’t temping enough, my TBR (both DTB and Kindle) have been ramping up because of a discussion here about must read books in science fiction romance. At this moment the count is at 76 (and I’m thrilled to my toe nails to be ON this list!). So if you like a little alien in your action and romance, stop by and peruse the list.

And if you see me at the movie, don’t tell!
perilously,
Pauline
