Craving a good read? Here's your chance! Download the full short story, "Family Treed." Trust me, it's a hilarious yet nail-biting night out that will leave you craving more!
I’ve already “come out” as loving quirky, so it shouldn’t be a huge shock to find out that I love Doctor Who. I can’t remember how old I was when I first saw the strange man emerge from the blue police box. I know I wasn’t young, because we didn’t get British shows on the 3-channel television of my youth.
This month Doctor Who turns 50! And there is all sorts of Who stuff happening all over the internet and on television. (Last night I got to see The Day of Doctor in 3D, more on that later!)
Seven Science Lessons from Doctor Who
Doctor Who you ask? What is this madness? Check out these links for to get some Whovian background:

And of course, the home of Doctor Who, the BBC has a whole lot going on as they prepare to launch a new season with the twelfth Doctor!
And the Official Doctor Who site!
My plan is to come back and add an update about my 3D adventure with Doctor Who and some fun peeps, but for now, tell me, do you Who or don’t you? All comments are entered into my monthly drawing for an AnaBanana gift basket, suitable for Whovians and non-Whovians and worth $50 this month in honor of NaBloPoMo. Winner will be announced next Monday, which just happens to be the first blog post of December (pause for cry of anguish because a) I can’t believe there is only one more month in 2013 and b) I’m not ready for Christmas!!!).
UPDATE: The hermit went out in the pouring rain to see The Day of the Doctor! It was awesome to see it in the theater, in 3D! Really good storytelling and lots of nods to the past! I won’t post spoilers, sweetie, but will say, it was totally fun! You have to at least watch the episode!
Perilously yours,
