Sunset along Emblem Bench on Dry Creek west of Greybull, Wyoming Copyright by WyoJones. All rights reserved. Used with permission.
As the sun sets on another August, I am breathing a cautious sigh of relief. (It ain’t over until it’s over!).
But hard or not, I’m glad I’m spending—finishing—this August in Wyoming. I mean, look at that sunset. Every night it’s different and the way the clouds interact with the mountains makes my heart happy.
I missed the mountains for thirty-four years. Don’t get me wrong, I loved where we lived, loved the friends we made, but every day I missed looking up and seeing mountains.
So, farewell August and hello September. (Oh, and it’s Friday! What do you have planned for the weekend? I hope to be reading!)
Perilously yours,
Pauline
