Make sure you're always in the know about my new, blush-free releases and other exclusive content!
This crazy cardinal has to be wishing for a wormhole into our house. We’ve got four of these along one side and she tries them all. Several times.
Not long after we moved into our house here in Houston, this female cardinal kept trying to move in with us. Every spring, she’d be back beating on the windows. Then one spring she didn’t come back. The hubs says they only live about three years, so I gave thanks and mentally moved on.
Then spring arrived and this little lady showed up. Can cardinals pass on the desire to beat against our windows? Could this be random? And if it is, how? Because I’m feeling a bit generationally stalked here. Not to mention waking each morning to the sound of her beating on our windows.
So what’s your theory? Demon bird? Reincarnated, annoyed she-cardinal? Happenstance? Vote in the comments because they are all entered into my monthly giveaway of an AnaBanana gift card. Since my commenting system got hosed last month, I’m rolling March and April together. So will draw for $20 GC, winner to be announced in the first blog post of May.
Perilously yours,
Pauline
When not being stalked by demon birds, Pauline writes books. In fact, she just finished one, her 13th (could that be why the demon bird???). It’s called Relatively Risky and it’s releasing all over the place in digital. It should release in May in print. For more information, please pop over to her website at paulinebjones.com. Or….
