Pauline’s Scenic Route: Thanksgiving

I love a parade!

From the hubs:

It was a beautiful Thanksgiving Day. It started foggy and the sky for the parade was overcast. The parade ended at a different place this year so I changed my usual photo place to the corner of Dallas and Caroline. Not many pauses in the flow of the parade so most of the photos were taken on the fly while the parade was moving. Some of my photos from previous years’ parades can be found here: 7622760131345/

From me:

One of the long time traditions in my family, for Thanksgiving morning, was to watch the Macy’s Day Parade on TV. Moving to Houston put us in position to actually see a parade, but I’m either a) too lazy to get up early or b) too busy cooking the dinner (which includes a turducken so the house will smell like New Orleans), or c) both to actually go see the parade. Okay, there is a d). It’s the hermit thing. There’s a lot of people at those live parades!

But I love seeing the hubs pictures of the parade and of course, I can see the Houston parade on TV while I’m cooking. And yeah, I try to see if I can spot the hubs.

For more of the hubs awesome photos, be sure to check out my landing page. There you’ll also find links to my website and information about my books. The hubs has been awesome about supporting my writing through the years, so it’s fun to be able to share his photos here on my blog.

So how about you? Do you go to or watch a parade on Thanksgiving morning? Have you ever made a float? I will confess I have made several. Even rode in some in my little home town. Blink. Blink. Yeah the hermit was in a parade or two. As usual, all comments will be entered in my monthly drawing for a $10 AnaBanana gift card of thankfully wonderful.

Perilously, and thankfully,
