Down the Rabbit Hole to Some Reader’s Guides

How it did an amoeba sub-divide and ended up as two guides?

So last week I was exploring Instagram stories and trying to figure out what they were all about. Somehow I ended up on Pinterest and—don’t ask me to connect the dots—this led me to work on a Reader’s Guide to my books.

It wasn’t completely random, because I had “create a Reader’s Guide” on my to-do list. But it wasn’t up next, so I’m not sure how it moved its self up. Or how it did an amoeba sub-divide and ended up as two guides. (Okay, a Wise Friend said I should split them by genre, advice that was confirmed excellent when the mobi for a single guide was too big to upload to my website.)

Other than the fact that I have written a lot of books (lol) the hardest part was figuring out what to put in the guides.

So, some things you might want to know about my Guides, other than that their are two:

  • One guide is for my romantic suspense, comedy mystery, etc. The other is for my scifi romance.
  • Where applicable (I don’t get to use that word very often!), the guides provide the reading order for my series. That would be the applicable part.
  • There are also notes on how stuff happened in my writing life and “why I wrote” for the various projects.
  • There are excerpts, too.
  • Both guides are FREE! You can download them from my website and you don’t have to give up your email or anything. These are “no strings attached free.”
  • I don’t think there is anything else, so what are you waiting for? Get A Reader’s Guide and Another Reader’s Guide right now! (Haha)

Have you ever downloaded a reader’s guide? What do you like or not like about them? What kind of information do you like in a Reader’s Guide?

Perilously yours,

Pauline
