Soaring!!!

Magical times!

Flying selfie

Last week I was SO sad because the grandkids were going home and while we plan on traveling their direction in the Fall, Life Happens around here with disturbing frequency and messes up our plans.

I got together with their other grandmother and then magic happened twice! They got to stay with us a little longer AND I got to take a ride in their other grandfather’s plane!

It was both magical and sweet. Our grandson was born to fly—just like his grandfather and he loved the flight so much! His reactions to the flight were better even than my own thrill at having this unexpected bucket list item crossed off. (I often don’t realize something is on my bucket list until it happens, but taking a flight in a small passenger plane was on there!)

My house is right…there….probably. lol

Seriously, I’d never go anywhere in a car again if I could manage it. As you can see from the pictures, it was a beautiful day and it felt like I could see forever. I also got to see my beloved city from a new perspective, something that is good for me the person and me the author.

I could only see this from a plane!

It was a busy day in the skies, so it was especially kind and special to fly! And then I got to go home with the grandkids.

Red Lodge road

A long and winding road!

This is also why this is a short blog post. The #GrandmaProject is still happening and I have a writing deadline! Send good thoughts my way for the writing because the kids are distracting and summer is calling!

How is your summer going? Any magic happening where you are?

Perilously yours,

Pauline
