New Releases, Contests, and Cookies

It’s a great day in my neighborhood! We have actual sun outside and I have a short story in a “releasing-right-now” anthology called The Mystery of the Green Mist. My short is called “Deleting Dennis.” While I love my current (and most of my past) editors, this is a revenge story for all authors who have been brutally rejected by a heartless editor at some time in their life.

Here’s my blurb:

Capri Hinkenlooper thought her name—and Monday mornings—were the worst things in her life, but then her fellow editor and all around slimy guy gets deleted with her letter opener. On the upside, the two homicide detectives investigating the murder are seriously cute…

Needless to say, I had a lot of fun with editors and publishing with this short story. It’s available in print, kindleand at fictionwise (multiformat). And since this is an anthology, there are some other stories in there besides mine. (grin)

Okay, I mentioned contests. I have a new one on my website. (And an old one, running through Romance Junkies). And I’m taking part in an Easter contest through LASR that will start the 29th.

I’ve donated some prizes for this contest, so hope you’ll check back and enter!

And now on to the cookies. Did you know that Nabisco has a Facebook group page and that they give away coupons for FREE cookies? It’s true. I wouldn’t lie about free cookies. That would be wrong in every way. So, if you Facebook and if you like cookies, check them out.

I think I mentioned I got the new Emma. I like the book, but some of the adaptations end up being all about Harriet, instead of Emma, so I kept my expectations low. I ended up being really delighted by this one. I liked watching Emma mature enough to fall in love.

Looking forward to finally seeing New Moon. But I’ll be honest, I’m dying for April and the release of my novel,Girl Gone Nova. Starting to get some early reviews and they are good, so I’m happy. 🙂

My TBR pile continues to climb (on my Kindle) and still I look to add books. Seriously excited about Linnea Sinclair’s March release Rebels and Lovers and also looking very much forward to Lisa Shearin’s new book in April. Have both on preorder, because I know they will deliver the goods. Of course, the reason the TBR gets bigger is because I’m writing not reading.

Okay, what book or books are you waiting to release? Any movies you can’t wait to see? Call me crazy, but I’m always looking for more books. LOL!
Perilously yours,
Pauline
