(Perilous) Pauline Baird Jones’ Friday Fun Video: Lego Monster Mash

Is it awful to admit that for me, Halloween is mostly about the candy now that the kids are grown and gone? Okay, I also like the music and crank up my Halloween playlist. So I popped onto YouTube and found this Lego version of the Monster Mash.

[youtuber youtube=’’]

I did love Halloween as a kid, oh wait, that was pretty much about the candy, too. I used to dress up, but only because you didn’t get candy going around as yourself. I was never about costumes (which makes my whole steampunk thing kind of interesting….) My mom used to make donuts, because back in the olden days, you could give kids real food. Oh, those donuts…ahem, I digress.

Since Halloween is still down the road, I thought my link fest should feature Halloween party planning.

No surprise the Food Network is right there to assist with food for a “ghoulish good time.” There are links for adult parties and kid parties.

Better Homes and Gardens also weighs in with suggestions for Halloween party fun.

I thought this link was interesting, in a creepy, Halloween kind of way: 5 Halloween Parties too Badass to be real (that totally are).

And for those who aren’t DIY, here’s a place that will provide supplies and costumes, called appropriately enough, Halloween Express.

What will you be doing this month to get your ghoul on? How big is Halloween on your horizon? Leave a comment and be entered in my $10 AnaBanana Gift Card of can-be-creepy-if-you-go-zombie. Winner announced first blog post of the month.

Now I’m wondering what other creepy, Halloween songs have been lego-ized. Hmmm….
