Lava tube or #Wormhole?

into the lava tube

Lava Tube
Called by the Hawaiians Nāhuku, this lava tube is found in the tropical tree fern forest not too far from the summit of Kilauea at an altitude of 3,900’. The official name of the cave is the Thurston Lava Tube, named after Lorrin Thurston, a local newspaper publisher. Copyright by WyoJones. All rights reserved. Used with permission.

Is a lava tube like a wormhole? It kind of felt like it, only without the whirling and such. And, in places, it was drippy and dark. So I’m going with lava tube, not a wormhole. Maybe if I’d ended up in another place entirely…

Have you ever been in a lava tube?

Perilously yours,

Pauline
