Ice is Eerie and Beautiful #HubsPhoto

Iceland and not outer space, but it does make one think!

stacked ice in Iceland

On the southeast end of Jökulsárlón, a proglacial lake in southeast Iceland, chunks of Ice and larger Icebergs that have been floating on the lake get stacked up as they try to flow out Jökulsa, the lake’s outlet to the sea. The icebergs come from the ice that calves off Breiðamerkurjökull into the lake. Copyright by WyoJones. All rights reserved. Used with permission.

I will admit I was browsing the hubs’ Flickr page for eerie and beautiful photos to share here on the blog. I’m back in writing mode and working on a new entry in my Project Enterprise series and I need some eerie and out-of-this-world inspiration.

I’ve never written a frozen planet story before. Hmmmm…

If you don’t buy the alien part, it’s also perfect for January. We’re in what my mom used to call “deep winter” right now. Can you feel the chill?

Perilously yours,
