Craving a good read? Here's your chance! Download the full short story, "Family Treed." Trust me, it's a hilarious yet nail-biting night out that will leave you craving more!
As I was sitting here staring at the blank blog page, and then looking at my calendar, I realized that I needed a better reason for all of you to show up than “because.”
Since I began blogging in earnest (here in 2010!), I have tried to provide blog content that was both useful, interesting, funny or all of the above. I will freely admit that I have not always succeeded, but I do try with my 1278 (gulp!) blog posts published.
When I first started out here on Word Press (I had two previous blogs on other sites), I blogged once a week, eventually going to twice a week, then three times a week. During that time, blogging changed and eventually I went back to twice a week.
Blogging continues to change, and I find myself changing, too, but I know one thing. I do love blogging. Sometimes the words I create here are the only words I get written during a week, but they are words—and getting words out makes me a happier person.
I’m not sure what 2020 will bring (and how the heck did it get so close???), but I know I need some space as 2019 winds down. I’ve decided to go back to once a week posting, though I will add in extra days if a guest post pops up—or a topic I can’t resist.
Just to recap, I’m not leaving the blogosphere, just dialing it back a little so I can work on a new novel and enjoy the holidays. Things have been pretty intense with the release of Pets in Space® 4 (which will be on sale until the end of March 2020), and working on Fais Do Do Die for its Jan 2020 release. Now Fais Do Do Die is heading to the editors and I’m free to turn my attention to something new, which excites me a lot!
I’m not sure how far I’ll get during the holidays, but here’s to trying!
I’m so grateful to all of you for showing up, for reading, for sometimes commenting, for sharing my posts—for being here. And we’ll see how things look in January!
Perilously yours,
Pauline
