Good Things in the Wormhole!

christmas storefront photo

A store in Grapevine Texas is decked out in Christmas lights with Christmas trees on top for the season. Grapevine proclaims itself as The Christmas Capital of Texas®. Grapevine is the essence of Christmas decor as the city is blanketed with millions of lights, enormous decorations, animated characters and lots of smiling happy people. The building in the picture is in The Grapevine Commercial historic District. Most of the old brick buildings along Main street in the District were constructed in 1900. Grapevine is also remembered as the place were Bonnie and Clyde killed two Texas Highway Patrol Officers, E. B. Wheeler and H. D. Murphy, at the intersection of Highway 114 and Dove Road in 1934. Those murders intensified the manhunt for the pair. They were both killed in a shoot out with law officers in Louisiana later that same year. Copyright by WyoJones. All rights reserved.
